Čeložnice is located 7 km northwest of Kyjov, has 390 inhabitants and belongs to Moštěnka micro-region. It lies at the foot of the Chřiby Hills along both sides of the Kolomaznica Brook, 1 km north of the village there is an extensive cottagey settlement called Pastviny. Čeložnice is an ideal starting point for hikes in the Chřiby hills. In Čeložnice there is a very nice belfry * *, a couple of nice crosses * and a small chapel. In the woods we can still find a lot of border stones *. Of the nature rarities worth mentioning are a Smraďavka sulphur spring ** , a Kolomaznica well*, a Kalíšek rock formation*. The highest point in the surroundings is Velká Ostrá (a.k.a.Železňák) hill*, along the Kostelec road there is a nesting site of protected birds in the locality of Prašnice *, in the woods there are a lot of mushrooms and anthills. To the north of the village there grows a protected service tree (Sorbus domestica). The village commemorates the Remains and the Wenceslau Feast, a wine sampling exhibition is held at Easter. The “northern Kyjov” costume is worn here.
