Lovčice It is located 6 km northwest of Kyjov and 2 km east of Ždánice. It lies at the confluence of the Lovčický Brook and Jordánek Brook on the foothill of Ždánický forest. Surrounded by fields, orchards and extensive woods Lovčice appears to be a good starting point for hikes in the eastern part of Ždánický forest, a blue-mark tourist path, bikers path and an educational path cross here. The village is part of Ždánicko micro-region, has 804 inhabitants. The most interesting monument is the Empire church of Sts. Peter and Paul * *, there is a legend connected with a small chapel * in the place called Kuče. Scientifically notable are the Lovčický Brook vale and the Jordánek Brook vale * and the Malinky slope *. North of the village there are a pond and a well *. Near Lovčice, charcoal * has been produced up to the present time. Lovčice is home to Lovečan, a folklore group, and the “hanácko-slovácký” costume is worn here (i.e. costume with combined features of Haná and Moravian Slovakia regions).
