Milotice is renowned for many cultural and nature beauties, it’s the centre of Kyjov-Dolňácko (Lowlands) folklore. Whoever wants to get to know the Kyjov region and does not make a stop in Milotice and around it, albeit for one day, that has not known the region at all. It is located 7 km south of Kyjov, about 60 km southeast of Brno. The surroundings are flat except for the south where Náklo hill rises and where lignite was mined in the past. That is where vineyards, orchards and Horky, a nature reserve, are now. In the immediate neighbourhood there are fields, further away also forests extending towards Vracov and Svatobořice-Mistřín. Across the village runs a Kyjov-Hodonín arterial road. Milotice is part of Dolnomoravský Vale and a member of Nový Dvůr micro-region. 1941 people live here.
