Skalka is a very small village (176 inhabitants) located 6 km to the north of Kyjov and surrounded by agriculture landscape. The name of the village (“skalka” = small rock) refers to the rock at the edge of the village that is far from being typical for the foothills of the Chřiby Hills. The village is surrounded by an agricultural landscape. Skalka is a member of the Voluntary Union of Villages of Podchřibí Micro-region.
