Ždánický forest (declared nature park in 1996) and Věteřovská Uplands are characterized by deep deciduous forests, mostly Carpathian oak-hornbeam and beech in the higher parts. On the deforested southern slopes there survived precious grass-herb societies, including orchis militaris and other rare plants. In the woods, wild boar and deer are a frequent occurrence.
